Actions Oral energy supplementation and electrolyte replacement. Glucose provides an immediately available source of energy and assists in the uptake of water from the intestine. Electrolytes are included as a replacement for vital salts lost during diarrhoea, dehydration or stress from any cause. Indications Scouring calves. Dosage and Administration Dissolve 100 g in 2 L warm water. Administer 2 L twice daily in place of milk for 2 days, then alternate with 2 L milk (or milk replacer) for 2 days.
