Imaverol Fungicidal Wash

Manufacturer:  Ausrichter Pty Ltd
Registered Name Imaverol Fungicidal Wash for Horses and Dogs
 Composition Enilconazole 100 mg/mL.
Actions Antimycotic, effective against dermatophytes (Microsporum sp. and Trichophyton sp.), Malassezia and their spores.
Indications Treatment of dermatomycosis on horses and dogs (ringworm, malassezia and topical fungi). To decontaminate the animal's environment and prevent the spread of fungal infections to other animals or humans, and prevent re-infection after the conclusion of treatment. A mistake commonly made in the treatment of fungal infections is the termination of treatment when a clinical cure is observed. A clinical cure always precedes the mycological cure; early discontinuation of treatment often results in a relapse.
 Precautions
Safety directions. Do not allow the emulsion to contact skin and eyes. Wash face and hands thoroughly if contact occurs. Once diluted the emulsion should not cause irritation.
First aid. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126.
Withholding Periods Meat. Horses: 28 days.
Directions for use Dilute the concentrate 1 part to 50 parts of lukewarm water, e.g. 20 mL concentrate to 1 L lukewarm water. Make up the quantity of diluted wash needed for immediate use.
Horses. Ringworm: remove crusts with a hard brush, or use the wash to soak and remove the crusts from the site of the ringworm infection. Treat the infection and surrounding area four times, at three to four day intervals. For the first treatment wash or spray the entire horse. Fungal infections: treat with wash or spray (dilution rate of 1:50) twice weekly for four to six weeks.
Dogs. Ringworm: clip long haired dogs before treatment. Then apply the wash to the hair and skin with sufficient diluted wash to soak the skin and hair. Treat the ringworm infection and surrounding skin four times at three to four day intervals. Fungal infections including Malassezia pachydermatis: treat entire dog with the diluted wash twice a week for four to six weeks. The diluted wash should be allowed to dry in the skin and hair.
